Welcome to MilkEase Lactation!
Marisa is an experienced Registered Nurse, Certified in Inpatient Obstetrics, and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Marisa earned her BSN at Indiana University and worked in med/surg nursing in Indianapolis where her first child was born. Her birth experience and daughter’s diagnosis of Down syndrome inspired Marisa to transition from med/surg nursing to maternal child health nursing and then pursing her IBCLC. Since moving back to Illinois in 2015, she has over 9 years of experience working in maternal child health - including labor and delivery, postpartum, and lactation care. Marisa is passionate about supporting mothers, providing individualized care to them and their families, and to help them achieve their feeding goals.
When not working, Marisa loves to spend time with her family - her husband, 3 children, a dog and cat. Marisa also loves to travel, go camping, hiking, and horse back riding.
